Solo Practitioner on AtlasOS

AtlasOS provides a streamlined, single-user experience purpose-built for independent professionals who work alone or with a small assistant. Everything you need — client management, compliance tracking, billing, and documents — without the overhead of team management features.

Who is this for? Independent accountants, tax consultants, bookkeepers, and sole practitioners who manage their own client base without a large team.

Terminology

AtlasOS maps its universal concepts to solo practitioner language:

You will see these labels throughout the sidebar, dashboards, and reports.

Solo Mode

The Solo Practitioner vertical enables soloMode, which fundamentally streamlines the AtlasOS experience:

  • Landing view defaults to Focus — a personal task dashboard showing your most urgent deadlines and work items.
  • Team management UI is hidden (no staff directory, no team assignments).
  • Broadcasts module is disabled (use Smart Inbox for individual client communications).
  • Chat module is disabled (no internal team chat needed).
  • All essential modules remain fully intact — compliance, billing, client portal, AI Agents.

Read more in the Solo Mode guide.

Default Landing View

When you log in, AtlasOS opens to the Focus view — your personal dashboard showing upcoming deadlines, active tasks, and items requiring attention.

Getting Started

  1. Create your practice and select Solo Practitioner as your firm type during the setup wizard.
  2. Import your clients via CSV or add them manually. Include registration numbers and tax numbers for compliance tracking.
  3. Configure compliance — AtlasOS auto-generates SARS and CIPC deadlines based on each client's entity type and registration details.
  4. Set up billing — configure your hourly rates, service types, and invoice template.
  5. Start working — your Focus view shows you exactly what needs attention today.

Next steps: Read the Solo Practitioner Overview for the full configuration reference, or learn about Solo Mode to understand what changes in the streamlined interface.
