Share Registers
AtlasOS maintains a digital share register for each company entity — recording all share classes, issued shares, and shareholder details in a searchable, auditable format. This replaces paper-based share registers and manual spreadsheets.
Share Classes
Each company may have multiple share classes. For each class, record:
- Class name (e.g., Ordinary Shares, Preference Shares, Class A)
- Authorised shares — total shares authorised in the MOI
- Issued shares — shares currently in issue
- Voting rights — votes per share (if any)
- Dividend rights — entitlement and preference
- Par value (if applicable) or confirmed no-par-value
Shareholder Register
For each shareholder, AtlasOS records:
| Field | Details |
|---|---|
| Shareholder name | Individual or entity name |
| ID / Registration number | SA ID, passport, or CIPC reg number |
| Shares held | Per class |
| % ownership | Calculated automatically |
| Date acquired | Date of first share acquisition |
| Certificate number | Physical or electronic share certificate reference |
Share Transfers
Record share transfers in AtlasOS:
- Navigate to Corporate Secretarial → Share Register → Transfers
- Enter the transferor (seller), transferee (buyer), number of shares, and transfer date
- Upload the signed share transfer form (Form ST)
- AtlasOS updates the register and shareholder percentages automatically
Share transfers must also be reflected in the beneficial ownership register if the transfer affects a beneficial owner threshold. AtlasOS will prompt you to review BO when a transfer is captured.
Share Register Report
Generate a formal share register report per company — suitable for banks, lawyers, and due diligence requests. Export as PDF or CSV from Corporate Secretarial → Reports → Share Register.
